Another day of paperwork and applications. Not to mention a million or so job search sites. Just kidding….it was 2 million. You know, I found sites I have never heard of before.

Melissa and I had to run some errands this afternoon, Melissa was playing hookey from work today. Anyways, after running across town and back, we came home and put away the groceries. I ran a copy of my resume over to my neighbor Mark. We talked for about a half hour and he gave me a couple of leads that I will pursue Monday. He was very encouraging.

When I came back from his house I picked up the mail. To my surprise there was a card from the gang at Emcor.

I opened it up and read it standing right there on my porch. It is probably the best thing that happened all week. Even though I appreciate the gift from Amazon, the card with all the little messages was precious. I have it sitting here on my desk. Thank you everyone for the card. Just for the record…I think this is worse than kissing your sister, but I don’t want to find out…. :)

My wife and I took the evening off and watched “Nights in Rodanthe” tonight and just tried to relax for awhile. Movies are awesome at helping escape reality sometimes, and it was nice to get away. Even if it was only for a couple of hours.

At any rate, I hope you are all doing well. Don’t know if anyone is reading this or not, but I will send a thank you card too.
