Have you ever really needed something to work, and to work fast, only to have it slow down or break? It has been my experience that the more you need something to work, the more it slows down or stops altogether.

My boss just showed me something funny from the Insterter Parts Source site that I just had to share. Here is the warning that I thought was just hilarious:

WARNING INSERTER OPERATOR’S

The Inserter is subject to breakdown during periods of critical need

A special circuit in the Inserter called a “Critical Detector” senses the operator’s emotional state in terms of how desperate he or she is to use the Inserter. The “Critical Detector” then creates a malfunction proportional to the desperation of the operator. Threatening the Inserter with violence only aggravates the situation. Likewise attempts to use another Inserter may cause it to also malfunction. They belong to the same union. Keep cool and say nice things to the Inserter. Nothing else seems to work.

Never let anything mechanical know you are in a hurry

I have several mechanical devices that should have a similar warning. What do you think?
