I found this in a post by Mari Smith. This looks to be quite interesting. Check this out and let me know what you think? Anyone out there have one already, I’d be interested in hearing from you.

Here is Mari Smith’s thoughts on her big prize: Of course I wonder how legit it was that a huge social media personality won the camera. I am sure they knew that she would give them free advertising via facebook, twitter, youtube, and many other social media platforms. continue reading…

I am not one to promote a company or corporation, especially not an insurance company, but I saw this commercial for the first time last night and thought I would share this. In these trying times, it is nice to see that someone, somewhere, can see what is truly important.

I realize that these are commercials specifically designed to evoke an emotion, but I like to let these types of commercials inspire and motivate me to appreciate the truly important things in life.

Ok, so I found this on facebook today and it is awesome. I tried it on my iPhone and it found tons of places right in my neighborhood. Talk about reality and technology coming together, this really takes the cake. Check out the article AWESOME: Urbanspoon iPhone App Adds Augmented Reality on Mashable.

facemic

I found this in my travels tonight and thought I would give it a try. It is called FaceMic. It allows you to record an audio message and upload it, along with a picture or map, to your facebook profile. There is also a version for twitter.

Time, from download to this being published, was about 2.5 minutes. Talk about intuitive and easy to use. The quality is great in a quiet room. I will do more testing. Checkout my first recording with a picture of our dog Brownie on my Facebook profile.

If you use this, let me know what you think.

Here is another one that I found a long time ago, same principle. I am dating myself, but I my parents use to watch this when I was growning up. They were great. Enjoy!

Remember: it is important to laugh once in a while.

Here is a post that I received from a good friend that is the founder of The Worklife Group in Rochester Minnesota. It gives great advice to people seeking employment who have to answer the question, “So tell me about yourself?” We have all experienced the business end of this question, but here is some good advice on how to answer that question professionally. This article was posted on the Tech Careers site, which looks like it could be very helpful with unemployment and career resources. Check it out and let me know what you find out.

While doing homework for my science class, I found this useful site on Green Energy Resources:

Department of Energy Green Energy Resources

It lists all the different possible green energy resources available with numerous links to some very useful and educational sites as well. There are many videos and illustrations to view, all done very simply and to the point. Check this out and let me know what you think about this or if you have more information to share. This is a learning process for me and I welcome any input.

Ok, here is something that I never thought I would see. I use a three screen setup at home and this is one thing that bums me out about laptops. Well folks here it is – Dual Screen Laptops. They are coming…. this is for real and not a prank or joke.
