In a recent Social Media Examiner post that I received in my email, I found this unique clip about Zappos and how their culture is helping to drive their business forward. It is amazing how the employees feel empowered to do what ever it takes to make the customer happy. I don’t find it surprising that people are flocking to Zappos to find employment. The biggest concern that most employees have with about 98% of jobs out there is that they can see how to make things better, but they cannot put them into effect.

It is no wonder to me that when people are given the freedom to think for themselves, work creatively, and have the tools needed, they can achieve great success. This success is a positive feedback loop where the employees are satisfied, customer’s are satisfied, and the business is satisfied because they are making money and have happy customer’s.

Check out the video below and let me know what you think about satisfaction in the workplace…

After finding out tonight that AT&T will not be offering unlimited data usage any further, I was concerned because I had no idea how much data I was using. I really enjoy my iPhone and would really hate to think that I could not use it the way I wanted to. So go to How to Check Your iPhone’s Data Usage to learn how to check your data usage. I hope you find this helpful.

Checkout this great post from Faster Future Publishing Blog explaining why all the sharing on social media needs to be done with understanding of what is being shared, who is sharing it, and what precautions should be taken.

Remember that once something is shared on any social networking platform (Facebook, twitter, foursquare, ect..) it can not be erased or taken back. You can delete it from the original source (your facebook wall), but the syndication to other networks has already taken place. After all, this is all designed to push whatever you are posting out to as many people as possible. My point? Be careful what you share because it will be there forever!

One other topic to consider is which people you allow into your networks. In the rush to get the most followers, are you letting a stalker into your personal social media life? No way to tell, so choose your friends carefully.

Faster Future published a great post explaining some of the more elusive concepts of sharing personal, geo-locating information over a social network. This includes posts you make about yourself, as well as, post that you make about others’. Something to think about.

Let me know your thoughts…..

Here is yet another of the reports of an CDMA iPhone that may possibly be hosted with Verizon among others. Check out New Iphones Coming to see what all the fuss is about.

I am hoping that if Verizon or others get this phone that they don’t nickle and dime us all to death with usage charges. What good is an iPhone on Verizon if it costs way more to use because of usage charges. With AT&T it is a flat fee for the data package which is great. Let me know what you think.

As I sit and watch what is going on in other countries of the World, I cannot help but to wonder, why are we so far behind many of the other countries of the World when it comes to technology?

Here is a case in point, Augmented Reality. I have seen and heard about this over in England. Check out Socialnomic blog post Augmented Reality Videos: GM & London Tube. Great technology, and yes GM is in this country, but why isn’t there more of this going on when it is so prevalent in other countries?

This title may make you wonder if I am typing in a different language, but I am not. I just found my most favorite instrumental (Theme) music on youtube and wanted to share it here. It is called Vltava (Moldau) and it is the story of the river Moldau from it’s start up in the mountains, traveling through peasant farm fields, a peasant wedding, night fairies, the St. Johns Rapids, and then out to the sea. If you listen you can hear the different parts very distinctly. What a wonderful piece of music! Even more impressive to watch. Check out both the videos below. continue reading…
